Andrew Rodriguez

Andrew Rodriguez is an artist from Laguna Pueblo, New Mexico who resides in Albuquerque.  He attended the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA), in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he studied sculpture under the tutelage of Allen Houser.  He completed his Fine Arts Degree “With Distinction” at the University of New Mexico.  

Andrew’s work is in clay relief & sculptures.  He combines traditional smoke firing & slip/stone polishing techniques into unique contemporary expressions of his Indian heritage.  His clay reliefs capture an essence of spiritual mystery & emergence.
